The Drink Driving alcohol level in Portugal is under 0.5g/l (grams of alcohol per litre of blood) which is lower than in the UK. If you are caught you can be fined anything from €250 and €1,250 and suspension of your licence and if found with 1.2g/l or over you can in fact face a jail sentence.
